CLYDE, Texas — The Clyde Bulldogs and Breckenridge Buckaroos faced off in a hard-fought matchup Friday night that kept fans on their feet until the final whistle.

Clyde started strong in the first quarter with a tipped-ball interception to #21 Kyler Dailey, setting up a touchdown pass to #8 Hunter Dematties. Breckenridge answered before halftime, and the teams went into the half tied 7–7.

The second half turned into a back-and-forth offensive showcase. Breckenridge took the lead on a touchdown to #12 Cameron David, but Clyde’s #4 Devan Wright responded back with a touchdown of his own. A successful two-point conversion from #11 Landon Deal extended Clyde’s lead.

Wright continued his strong night with another rushing touchdown and finished the night with 241 yards and two scores on the ground. Despite having three touchdowns called back due to holding penalties, Clyde’s offense would handle business on the ground, sealing off a 22-14 Victory.

Key players included Clyde’s Devan Wright (#4), who led the ground attack, and Breckenridge’s Glen Thibodeux (#20), who was a thorn to the Bulldogs’ side all night on the defensive side of the ball.
