2025 5A MVPs

The Big Country Blitz 5A Offensive Player of the Year is Abilene High athlete Brayden Henry, who starred at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and returner during his career.

Henry threw for 997 yards and 15 touchdowns, ran for 845 yards and ten scores, and caught 23 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Henry committed to play football at Colorado State-Pueblo this past week.

Cooper defensive lineman Dycin Davis is the choice for the Big Country Blitz 5A Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Davis had 75 tackles on the season, 13 of them for loss. He racked up 9 sacks and pressured the quarterback 39 times. He also recovered two fumbles on the season and has signed to play in college at UTEP.
