Week 14 Rewind
Thoughts on the biggest stories in the 14th week of football in the Big Country.
BEST WINS OF THE WEEK
11-MAN
5: Wall: The Hawks took care of business, yet again, in a blowout 56-7 win over Slaton.
4: Stephenville: Another week, another easy win for the Yellow Jackets, this time 51-6 over Canyon Randall.
3: Hamilton: The Bulldogs continue to win, taking down Price Carlisle 29-7 to advance to the regional finale for the second straight season.
2: Mason: The Punchers stay hot at the right time of year, beating Kenedy in a 41-37 shootout to advance to round four.
1: Cisco: The Loboes played much of the game without injured quarterback Colby McIlory and still had enough to hold off Spearman, 28-20.
6-MAN
4: Gordon: The Longhorns pull away from May in a 71-22 decision to extend their winning streak to 42.
3: Strawn: The Greyhounds turn in the only UIL six-man shutout of the playoffs this week, keeping Three Way off the board in a decisive 46-0 victory.
2: Richland Springs: The Coyotes avenged getting knocked out in the third round by Oglesby the last two seasons, topping the Tigers 72-22 this time to move on.
1: Jayton: The Jaybirds had to battle all night, but were able to hold off Benjamin 76-62 to keep their hopes of winning back-to-back state titles alive.
THE UNDEFEATED - WEEK 14
The list gets smaller as the weeks roll on: Gordon, Jayton, and Stephenville are the only Big Country teams still perfect.
In the Big Country...And Beyond all five unbeaten teams remain, but one will drop to almost perfect as Greenwood and Brock meet this week.
