Week 13 Rewind
Thoughts on the biggest stories in the 13th week of football in the Big Country.
BEST WINS OF THE WEEK
11-MAN
6: Albany: The Lions pulled away from Quanah to advance to the third round for the sixth year in a row, where they’ll meet defending state champ Muenster—who knocked them out of the playoffs 56-14 in 2024.
5: Stephenville: The Yellow Jackets made quick work of Dumas 55-7 to improve to 12-0 and move on to round three.
4: Hamilton: The Bulldogs move on with a 27-12 victory over Corsicana Mildred. They draw Price Carlisle next.
3: Graham: The Steers pulled off the upset of Lubbock Cooper Liberty, scoring the only two touchdowns of the fourth quarter to beat the Patriots 35-28.
2: De Leon: The Bearcat offense has had some great outputs this season, but this one was the best to date in a 74-46 win over previously unbeaten Frankston. Heston Jobe threw for eight touchdowns passes in the game.
1: Cisco: The Loboes continue to find ways to win, holding off Panhandle by a point to advance to the third round.
6-MAN
5: Richland Springs: The Coyotes knocked Zephyr out of the postseason for the second straight year, this time 59-12.
4: Robert Lee: The Steers dominate Valley 63-6 and get another shot at Water Valley in the regional finals.
3: Three Way: The Braves are in round three for the first time ever after getting past previously unbeaten Fannindel.
2: Strawn: The Greyhounds won a battle of district champs over Bluff Dale, 74-26, and will take on Three Way next week.
1: Gordon: The Longhorns extend their winning streak to 41 with a 61-14 win over previously unbeaten Menard.
THE UNDEFEATED - WEEK 13
Benjamin, Gordon, Jayton, and Stephenville are still perfect after Week 13.
One will fall from the ranks of the unbeaten as Jayton and Benjamin play Friday in the state quarterfinals/regional finals.
