Cooper, El Paso Eastlake advance to state at Abilene D1 7-on-7 SQT

El Paso Eastlake outlasted Abilene High, Wylie, Del Rio, and Midland High to win Pool B at the Abilene Division 1 7-on-7 State Qualifying Tournament at Shotwell Stadium and the Shotwell Annex.

Abilene Cooper won Pool A over Odessa High, Lubbock Monterey, Fort Worth Brewer, and the Cooper JV.

Cooper will play at the Texas State 7on7 Tournament in College Station June 25-27.

The Cougars are headed to state for the second time in three years and 17th time overall.
