Brownwood Holds Off Wylie, 13-7 + Photos

ABILENE, Texas — Brownwood held off a late Wylie rally and topped the Bulldogs 13-7 in the season opener for both teams Friday night.

The Lions led 13-0 late in the fourth but saw the Bulldogs score a touchdown and recover the ensuing onside kick. Brownwood stopped Wylie’s last drive, however, to hold on for the win.

The Lions host Stephenville next week, while Wylie heads to Lubbock Monterey.
